On Sunday, April 14th at 3:05pm, the Tappan Fire Department was requested to respond mutual in to Central Nyack for a working fire at the Mountainview Condominium Complex. Although we were initially requested to stand by at Central Nyack Fire Department's quarters, we were told to respond directly to the scene shortly after dispatch.

Members from Tappan worked directly with members from Central Nyack and Nyack fire departments to assist in extinguishing small pockets of fire in "Exposure 4" (Courtyard side,) that persisted after the main body of fire was knocked down.
After successfully extinguishing all noticeable fire, members from Tappan assisted in the "Overhaul" operation in the "Exposure 2" side of the building.

Four civilians and one firefighter from another company was injured in the fire. All are reported to have non life-threatening injuries.

The Tappan Fire Department is proud of the job well job at this incident, and our hearts go out to the residents displaced and injured due to this fire.
