It was a quiet Saturday afternoon, when our neighbors to the north in Blauvelt (Dept. 1) were alerted for a structure fire on Glynn Oval, On arrival, Chief Chondris advised they had a working house fire. About 10 minutes into the operation, the initial F.A.S.T. from Central Nyack FD (Dept. 2) went to work and as a result, Tappan F.D. was toned out to respond as a F.A.S.T. to the scene. Our team stood fast while the units on scene got the fire under control. Tappan units were released about 1.5hrs after initial dispatch.
