On the evening of Wednesday, February 1st, Sparkill-Palisades Fire Department, along with Tappan, responded to a report of a house fire at 28 Closter Road, in Palisades. Upon arrival, our FAST team set up on the front lawn of the residence and proceeded sizing up the area. In the mean time, Sparkill found the fire was inside the wall of the structure, and began their attack. The fire was extinguished in a speedy and efficient manner. Tappan was released from the scene in about an hour. No injuries were reported.
