Last night, March 21st, 2024, at approximately 22:59 hrs, Department 21 was dispatched for a vehicle extrication on the Palisades Parkway northbound

Both fire chief’s (21-1 & 21-2) arrived on scene with in minutes and advised a single motor vehicle crash into a tree. Luckily the occupants were able to get out themselves prior to FD arrival.

21-1500, 21-1502 & 21-75 crews assisted with securing the scene before turning over to NY State Police and the South Orangetown Ambulance Corp.

Department 21 units were back in service within 30 minutes.
