MUTUAL-AID RESPONSE TO STRUCTURE FIRE IN THE VILLAGE OF PIERMONT

On January 22nd, at approximately 04:49 hours, 1 engine from Department 21 was requested to respond mutual-aid to the scene of a working structure fire within Department 13’s area “Piermont FD"

Within six minutes of the dispatch, 21-1502 responded, fully crewed. Promptly followed by 21-1, 21-2, and 21-4 arriving on the scene.

The effective and rapid response by the Piermont Fire Department led to quick deployment of hose lines, achieving the main body of fire knocked down prior to the arrival of 21-1502.

Upon arrival, 21-1502 received orders to position on the 3 side of the building. 21-1502 crew members provided additional support in conducting extensive overhaul operations.

At 05:59, 13-Command declared the situation under control, via a signal 11 transmission. Allowing all units from Department 21 to commence breakdown procedures and return to station.
