TFD responds to Blauvelt

It was a quiet Saturday afternoon, when our neighbors to the north in Blauvelt (Dept. 1) were alerted for a structure fire on Glynn Oval, On arrival, Chief Chondris advised they had a working house fire. This morning just after 7am our FAST team was requested to respond into Old Tappan for a working house fire. As 21-1 and 21-2 arrived on scene they notified the incoming FAST team to set up by command. Our FAST team was on standby while the house fire was extinguished and then Old Tappan fire department asked a few of our members to relieve a few of their members. On Tuesday May 15th, 2018 two of members received awards from the Orangetown Highway Department at their annual awards ceremony. Large Brush Fire in Orangeburg

On Wednesday May 2nd, 2018 at 6:03pm the Tappan Fire Department responded mutual aid to Orangburg Fire Department at the scene of a large brush fire. The fire was found on Clausland Mountain in the Southwest of Nike Lane. Cleaning up Tappan

Earlier today we had a lot of help from the community with helping us clean up Tappan. We walked the streets picking up trash alongside of the roads. Today was a perfect day weather wise but also because it is Earth Day today. We want to give a quick shout out to NoCO Catering for the lunch you served us.
